Hi from the auto XBR man
Im 52 and my second bike was a twin Honda 125 with the pressed steel frame and square shocks [ no kidding] third bike was a basket of bits ,. for $75 ! that actually came in the Dusting side car, I think I got $230 for the car, that was MOST of a 45in [ 750 cc] WLA Harley , I was 14 I think and got it going in about a year painted it black with a spray can and rode EVERYWERE with no licence or current rego ...life wes different then I was over 6 ft and was never stopped ...the bike did tho, a LOT and was a true bailing wite and oil leak masterpeice . Had to sell it when my old man found out I was riding it [ he was a lawyer] and got sent to bording school for my sins [ with $1150 I sold it for ..he he ]
I am a fuel system engineer ....no no not carbs and inj ....real fuel systems for aircraft , I have rebuilt Sydney Airport , scratch built Canberra and lots of Defence sites , on jobs at RAAF Amberly and RAAF Edinburgh at present
had a Honda multi phase 400, 750, 900, even a 1000 6 , but back to the Harleys in the 80s with an early Evo and then a 5 speed EVO I still have
Claim to fame is my brother in law and I with a passinger suvived a HEAD ON bike to bike on the old Pacific Hwy a few years ago [ sport bike lost it and crossed the line and hit us BOTH ] smashed my left foot OFF ...which is why I use power shifters on MY bikes
so the list is [ twins only] FLSTC 127 in XLC 74 in , XI 74 in and XBR 90 in
Ps I have lots of good XB stuff for sale and are buying XI stuff
cheers Rob
