I won!!!! (sort of) |
|
Some would remember that in February of this year I was involved in an altercation with a four wheel drive on my old Beemer.
I was overtaking when the driver turned right in front of me and as a result I hit the back of his vehicle.
The authorities sent me a ticket for overtaking when not safe and I contested it.
Well it went to court this week and, defending myself, I won.
The prosecutor has told me that there will be an appeal by them so I felt good for a little while but time will tell.

I 2nd what Bueller said...
A-holes!
But good on ya for going to court over it cos you can bet they figured you wouldn't fight it and they would get away without having to pay for the damage to your bike!
Hoping it all works out in your favour mate!

Update - No appeal. Just a sore loser wanting to make me worry for another month.
On to the next leg of the journey of justice - getting my bike repaired by the offending idiots.
Queensland Rail's insurance dude response to date - " You hit our vehicle so it's your fault!"
So, it's off to civil court I go. Makes me want to make a go-kart out of the old girl and forget about it at times.
Stuff 'em.
They broke it so they are going to fix it.

No appeal so that is good news. Shame you can't get them charged, that would win it for you.
