Buell Muster 2009 Location PollOk folks ............ time to kick this off .............. Buell Muster 09
location poll !
After watching and dissecting the discussions around the forums it is
totally evident that everyone is set on Buell Muster 2010 being held in
Tasmania. Due to the weather conditions in Tassie that means Muster 2010
will have to be no later than the end of March, to this end that also means
that Muster 2009 needs to be moved to a date that gives people sufficent
time to save for Tassie, and moved to a month suitable for the area that is
selected.
These are the Top Ranked locations to be polled .......
OK again after trawling the forums the top nominees (in no particular order)
are:

people, good accomodation, plenty to see and do, side trip out to the reef
available at a big group discount, .... long distance to travel for the

I would have picked Bega only I don't get my licence back until next May. Cairns is a good second best.

twofold bay is a good base for the South Coast as well, you can run south to Cann River, back up through to Bombala, down the hill to Bega for a loop,or head south to Victoria area's,so South Coast gets mine this time around.

Kuranda Range is the best to ride.
The markets are good as well with heaps of sights - Alternative type people.
Have been down the range in a Valiant Charger with no brakes as a kid and have often wanted to beat that speed record!
hehehe

My vote may not really count, but I'll try for the far North.

There is no gerrymander here that I am aware of Fuzz.
One vote, one value I say!

It seems possible that I could make it after all, (details to come)
I wouldn't want to impose, but, I was wondering if someone could make
room for me and my boy, and if there would be a bike available???
Also, what would the legalities be, as far as license, rego, insurance, etc.????
Can't tell ya how much I want this to happen, so keep your fingers crossed, and/or your knees bent!!!

Fuzz,
If it happened the muster was held in Nth Qld you would be welcome to stay in our guest room (when not actually at the muster)
Although I am doubting it will be Nth Qld as its said to be away from the majority of ppl
Dont know about bike...................could possibly get a loan but nothing certain (could confirm when closer)
I think you can just purchase an international drivers license if you are licensed in your home country
All vehicles are compulsarily covered by (personal, not property) third party insurance through the registration
You may be able to purchase further temp insurance if you required
Hopefully some other ppl may be able to add to this
Cheers

You're welcome at my place Fuzz.
Like Murdoch said, we'd have to see a bit closer re a bike but I'm pretty sure we could arrange something.
Can't help with the legalities tho but, believe it or not, we do get tourists here & they all drive so it can't be too much of an issue.
