Buell's New Power Plants - MV Augusta?Had a chat with my local dealer today and he assures me that we will be seeing MV Augusta engines in the Buells very soon!Time will tell I guess. |

Sort of wouldn't be surprised with the Buell, MV Augusta & Cagiva all under the same ownership And with the rumored 2011 Buell/HD split up......................maybe they will market the 3 together

I am holding on to my XB for a while yet just in case.
The dealer has one of the numbered (650 built) Harley/Hines VROD drag bikes in his showroom unstarted. Wants $70K if anyone is interested. Will be mine after I win the 20 million this Saturday. I read another rumor that the 1125r engine was going to be available in an MV chassis, 
so the rumors are flying fast and furious. Who really knows???

I guess my gripe is that I have always been brand loyal and its starting to feel as though Buell is actually loosing its identity or maybe just having an identity crisis!!!!! Sure I know change can be good but its kinda feeling like its 'change for the sake of change'...while I don't aspire to owning a Rotax powered Buell I think that they should at least stick with that option for a few years and really fine tune everything about the bike, making it the best it can be etc before bringing in another engine... hahahahahahahaha just realised the irony in the fact that my avatar is me on an 1125R...must do a photo sesh with my X1 soon LOL |

I predict
- Rotax for Buell and Cagiva (Erik is not likely to let go of that development in a hurry) - MV for MV (It is based on I4 HP - they will not downsize the power for a Rotax) |

I wouldn't want it either. My ride is a Suzuki SV1000S. The engine may be made by suzuki but it is a de-tuned version of the SV engine.
