Anyone been touring in NZ? Although I'm a Kiwi, it's been awhile since I've been there and I haven't been at all to the south island. I'm planning on an Xmas tour and am still (at this late stage) pondering whether to take the T or just hire one for my time while I'm there.
Anyone got any thoughts or experience on this?

Depends how long you are planning to tour for... I dunno what the costs of shipping yr bike to and from NZ would be...if you wanna hire then I HIGHLY recommend rentatriumph. I hired a Sprint thru these guys when I flew down to ChCh earlier this year for my birthday wkend. Good prices and as-new bikes.
