The People You Meet

Last week I had some IT type training from a bloke who came up from SE Qld for it
In general chatting the topic of oil came up & he explained a lot of in depth stuff in easy to understand terms
Then it conversation went onto motors & he seemed quite knowledgeable on the subject.
Turns out he used to be involved with the Ford Race Team.

That night I did a Google on his name to see what it said
Well in amongst the listings there was one that listed him as a committee member of the Ducati Club of Qld
The next morning I asked him about it & he said yes that was right.
I asked him what sort of Duc did he have ?
Turns out he has 16 of them   shocked   eek  shocked

Anyway he was very knowledgeable & interesting person to talk to
I let him know about this forum so you never know he may pop in  question

Blimmin heck... now thats just greedy LOL

Actually I have met a bloke who had a similar passion for BMW bikes. Must have had 20 of them, a couple of oddball rarities amongst them too...

But anyway it just goes to show that ya can't judge a book by its cover eh? You could go through your working life never realising that Joe Bloggs in the next dept is actually a secret agent man... he he he

We have a mild mannered bean counter here at work who I have never taken much notice of til one day we happened to be seated next to each other at a work do. I noticed his left hand was a bit mangled and he noticed me noticing and shrugged and said "motorcross accident".
Of course from that point on we were "bla bla bla bla bla bla". But if it hadn't been for that one chance occasion I would never have known that he was into bikes!

A Duc to Buell ratio of 16:1  Sounds about right  laughing

Wish I could be so greedy rub hands
twoguns

had that problem with vw's.... they jsut kept needing to either be saved, or desired. not a good affliction. very costly.

wonder how many he has registered. i had 7 of my vw's fully registered to be available to drive daily. i have a mate who has 27 mini's of which 12 are full rego, and the others bar one, are on vintage.

i think i have it sorted that i can keep emma when i get the next bike!  wink  nice!  cool
