That does seem odd.
When I got mine The salesperson wanted me to get an even tighter set then the ones I ended up with.
I could barely get the zips & buttons done up with the ones I have.
When I asked why so bloody tight he said if they are loose then they won't protect in a fall as the leather will just turn & flop around.
Plus the leather has loosened slightly over the past 6 months since I purchase them.

So you don't need to wear them to work in your work car to break them in any more

Forgot I told you that
I was trying to wear them in a bit before the big Bright trip & I only done it once so there.
It was too hard to open the door & get me knee down on the sweepers.
But thats how tight mine were? I was shitting meself that I was going to choke sitting on the bike for a few hours but they were great.

Yeah, well i'm thinking i might just bite the bullet and get some custom ones made up... this is the first time i've even come close by going into shops and trying stuff on, and it still feels like i'm way off.

Did you see the ones I posted on the What do you wear thread? I got them off eBay for $800 custom made. They sold them to me for $600 because I wanted the jacket to go over loosely over a jumper and they are a bit tight. They are analine leather (the best - soft and heavy, solid colour all the way through). Zip together two piece fully armoured (removable with removable knee sliders. My design.
Despite the eBay thing I guess that they would be about the same price because I am talking to them about club jackets.
The guy is Matt Finn (tell him Peter from the Buell Club sent you)
AUSTSALES DIRECT
Matt Finn [wrxmatt@hotmail.com] (he has a business one as well but this is the first I found).
This is what I asked for
This is what I got (I changed my mind on the Buell text)
